July 2016: Kaye Torres - Owner / Executive Chef at Palate

KATRINA-TORRESKaye has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management with specialization in Culinary Arts. Her experience in the culinary industry includes an internship at Four Seasons Hulalai. She also worked with two of the most influential culinary establishments – Centre de Formation D’Alain Ducasse in Argenteuil, France and The Mark Restaurant by Jean Georges in New York. Kaye recently opened an upscale French-Mediterranean restaurant at Uptown Parade in BGC, called Palate. Her menu is an interpretation of her personal training from Paris to New York, giving her guests a new take on global flavors. Palate highlights both local and international ingredients resulting to each dish weaving its own story of flavors.

August 2016: Rainier Barbers - Co-owner and Executive Chef at Tipsy Pig, The Reserve Gastro Tavern & Moonshine Pub

Rainier-BarbersRainier has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management with specialization in Culinary Arts. He did his internship at 58 Tour Eiffel in Paris, France. In 2013, together with his friend Jared Sto. Tomas, who is also an Enderun alumnus. Together, he opened Tipsy Pig in Capitol Commons which is now one of the most popular gastropubs in the city. To date, both Rainier and Jared have opened 6 restaurants all over Metro Manila including The Reserve Gastro Tavern, Moonshine P.U.B and the most recent Cubanos Fil-Cuban Cantina.
